Edge of the World (Winters, Sherman) Why do my eyes see you different now One of us has changed somehow But that’s ok There’s nothing wrong with change Nothing bad, nothing strange Seeing it all a different way Don’t worry ‘bout me, I’m doing all right These bones may be slowing But my eyes are still bright So come on up girl and squeeze in tight And we’ll watch the world go by It’s all getting pretty clear Everyone I love and everything I fear Oh the view from here Standing on the edge of the world What we do means more than our words I guess Could’ve been some bitterness But then again From here it all makes sense And I’ll put it down to experience Now that I know what I didn't know then Don’t worry ‘bout me, I’m doing all right These bones may be slowing But my eyes are still bright So come on up girl and squeeze in tight And we’ll watch the world go by It’s all getting pretty clear Everyone I love and everything I fear Oh the view from here Standing on the edge of the world With no worries baby of any sort I know love is strange and life is short And no I’m not going yet Don’t worry ‘bout me... © 2010 Drew Winters

Second Hand Wings (Winters, Sherman) When I see you in the distance In the middle of our days And I find myself wanting you In so many ways Find myself approaching you and I can't make up my mind Do I bless you or undress you And take you from behind I'll find you a new set of wings If we lose yours tonight And play at other things We'll wander 'round Some second hand store And find some on sale Some not needed any more Second hand wings There is only this moment There is only right now And yet we start dreaming of Another path somehow As if we had the option To avoid the final fall And desire is on fire Laughing at us all Such a wasted effort What an energetic thought That we could somehow alter This history we have wrought All the agonies and ecstasies That tumble in our wake Are proof of our existence You can't call them all mistakes I'll find you a new set of wings... © 2010 Drew Winters

Somebody’s Lost (Winters, Sherman) He walked down a crowded avenue Walked away from everything he knew Sold the car and the business too Couldn’t lie anymore when none of it was true He said there's something about birthdays That isn’t right Something about these passing days That keeps us up at night Gathering thing and losing the fight Shutting down feelings and fading out of sight Somebody’s lost in this city Somebody’s a little too free Somebody’s lost in this city And it might just be me She lives alone and locks her door On her condo downtown on the 22nd floor Got a bed and a laptop and not much more And a diamond ring that she once wore Out at lunch she confided in a friend She’s had it with romance She’s giving up on men They're just too much trouble especially when You already know how it’s all going to end Somebody’s lost in this city Somebody’s feeling overdue Somebody’s lost in this city And it might just be you Don't know the answer can't make it all go away I'm not even sure these are the right words to say But maybe we could try and meet half way And set our sight on this brand new day Somebody’s lost in this city Somebody’s a little too free Somebody’s lost in this city And it might just be me Somebody’s lost in this city Somebody’s feeling overdue Don’t wanna be lost in this city Not while there's still me and you © 2010 Drew Winters

Man in the Middle (Winters, Sherman) There's that sound in your voice Telling me I got no choice I'm gonna listen And as your sad story unwinds It just reminds me of what I'm missing It's torture for me if I can never be Any more than the one that you lean on And when it comes to an end I guess I'll be the good friend... again When you call me over in the middle of the night Cry on my shoulder could I make it right Strung out on the lies Where do you find these guys If I could act that way Turn around and push you away Would you fall in love with me Cause I don't wanna be the man in the middle Like some bad TV show Telling me more than I want to know But I can't turn away Even when it gets rerun I keep watching while it comes undone There's nothing I can say It's a ratings game, puts us all to shame I wonder why You think nice guys are always lame It's a tragedy, a situation comedy For you and me When you call me over In the middle of the night... Girl this show could use a lift Why don't we rewrite the script What have you got to lose Or do you think that any man Who can give you all he can Is just too good for you It's torture for me if I can never be Any more than the one that you lean on It's black comedy, a goddamn tragedy For you and me © 2010 Drew Winters

Change In The Weather (Winters, Sherman) She wakes up in the middle of the night And wonders Why is she sleeping in this bed Yeah she can call it her own But it really ain't hers alone There's been some compromise And she learned to hide her emotions Though many a man took that wrong She had no time for deception But others were not so strong There's a change in the weather Nothing but rain outside your door There's a cold wind blowing Is anything growing In your garden anymore Even though the sun shines down on everyone Don't mean it's always gonna be warm You got to tend to the seeds The hopes and the dreams and the wants And all those needs Or they just fade away And maybe we could work a little bit harder Maybe we can't count on natural charm Maybe she's all right A little rest and she's ready to fight again Baby, just tell me when Change in the air (some cool clean air) Change in the sky (gonna be some blue, blue sky) Change in your heart (yeah I know it's coming now) And the sun's climbing high There's a change in the weather No more rain outside your door There's a warm wind blowing now And everything's growing In your garden once again © 2010 Drew Winters

Wander 05:19
Wander (Winters,Sherman) Well I guess she's learned to live with me Though I test her patience constantly She's right there through thick or thin And I may have to apologize When I'm lost again in those blue, blue skies And then the world comes crashing in Just breaks right in And I'm lost and out and back again And it all starts to fade away And there's nothing more that I can say I don't know where I have been I wander out and I wander in Drifting through each day and night But I'm all right I can't explain, but never doubt I wander in and I wander out Living in another life But I'm all right Well I guess my friends just shake their heads When I'm talking to myself instead When I'm wandering aimlessly They amuse themselves and let me be And it all starts to fade away And there's nothing more that I can say I don't know where I have been I wander out and I wander in... © 2010 Drew Winters

Don't Hold Me Down (Winters, Sherman) My eyes don’t see like they used to see Lights are fading and there’s fog in front of me I don’t hear like I used to hear Sounds all blur together And there’s ringing in my ear Hold me down I think I’m dying Or maybe nobody can Stop me from flying now Flying away to some distant shore I’ll find all the others who flew before And if these arms won't lift the weight If my legs won't carry me in this weakened state Why prolong this moment Why do I fight to breathe When my mind is more than ready Ready to leave Don't hold me down I think I'm dying Maybe nobody can Stop me from flying Flying away to a valley green As familiar as any place I've ever seen Sometimes we gather and sometimes we roam But which of us are wandering And which are truly home And I'm far from the youngest And I won't complain When I've had such a great ride On this winding train Don't hold me down I think I’m dying Maybe nobody can stop me from flying now Flying away to the top of a hill There’ll be so many others waiting there still © 2010 Drew Winters

White Wine Full Moon (Winters,Burmester,Sherman) You said you have something on your mind I said please let's just unwind Not sure quite what, quite what to say I feel fine, taste my wine, you'll feel fine It's a full moon day White wine and a full moon too (some things are meant to be) Delicious combination A real witch's brew (oh you know it's true) Let me lead Let me lead the way (if that's ok) Watch and taste baby You'll feel your way Don't hold back (just relax) Gonna have to trust me White wine and a full moon too (some things are meant to be) Delicious combination A real witch's brew Moonshine would never see the light of day This light will never fade Away White wine full moon White wine and a full moon too...
