It's unfortunate, but there are those out there who take advantage of nice people, and while you bend over backwards to help them, they lose respect for you. Weird, huh? Well I have enough footprints all over my backside. Everything changes when you say "Nope, sorry... I can't help you today." At first they're surprised, and maybe even resentful. You might get an earful of whining if they double down. Too bad... not my circus, not my monkeys. Sometimes you just gotta let somebody down.
